...the voice of pensioners

That thing stuck right in the middle of your face…

Dear LPG,

Have you ever been asked about the physical aspect of yourself that you dislike the most? Nearly everyone has something they would change about themselves, and we pensioners are no exception, although when we were young, no matter how much money you saved up, getting your bits changed was not an option unless you were rich and famous.

These days, so many more people are doing it, and it is as if we live in an “if you don’t like it, change it” world, but when we oldies were younger, most of us knew very little about this option.  We oldies have had more time than most to look in the mirror and disapprove of one feature or another but have learned to live with our imperfections.

I have always wanted a different nose.  I know that we need them, but they are indeed a puzzle.  Mine has always bothered me, but having thought about it, I don't know how I would improve if I had all the money in the world.

I am sure that I am not the only one who gets up in the mornings and spends a little time browsing the internet.  On a recent wander through the World Wide Web, I found some information that informs us that the shape of our noses can reveal a lot about our personalities.

I am glad I could never afford to have mine changed after all.  No matter what I think about the shape of it, it has served me well as an outlet for all that stuff that comes out when you have a cold, while it has spent a long time helping me with that life-preserving and fundamental act of breathing. It is also better not to do anything that might alter your sense of smell for the worse.

We oldies would find ourselves at an advantage if we were to meet a nose personality expert because noses have a habit of changing somewhat as we get older. Also, if a nose job is on your agenda while thinking about what to do with it, a thought or two about how your perceived personality will be altered needs as much thought as the aesthetic improvement that will be achieved.

As I said, I have never really been a great fan of my nose, but having looked at the videos that I hope LPG have left for readers to link to, I think I will stick with the one God gave me…
