A Christmas present solution perhaps…

22 Dec 2022

Dear LPG,

I find it useful to read some of the back stories on your web pages and I read one that I felt needed a bit of a comment earlier today.  It was about how many people have working smoke detectors and fire alarms in our houses and where they need to be to be really effective warning devices.  It also went on to mention that quite a lot of us have them but there are also a lot of people that don’t.  They are really one of those things that we all know about and know that we should have but that we keep forgetting to deal with.

While we are on the run up to Christmas, it occurs to me that there are always those friends of a certain age who appear to have everything when it comes to getting them a present.

Now that we can visit our friends again perhaps a quick look at their ceiling to check if they have one might help you to present the perfect Christmas present.  There is not much we can do about the ones that are hanging from the ceiling with a non-effective battery because you cannot tell by just taking a look, but getting a friend who has no visible round plastic bits of ceiling decoration a smoke detector might be the perfect solution to working out that age old Christmas question, ‘What present to buy for the person who thinks that they have everything this Christmas.’
