Versed thoughts (chapter 53): Around the Christmas shopping malls

21 Dec 2022

Dear LPG,

It is getting to about that time when, if we still can, we start that quest that can only be called Christmas shopping.  While we all spend more time looking at online pictures when choosing presents for other people these days, there is something really special about getting out there to see the years must-buy potential Christmas presents even if window shopping is all we can do.

I hope that my poem today leaves LPG readers prepared for more than just the rigors of worrying about what present to buy for each of those friends and relations on that all-important Christmas list…

Around the Christmas shopping malls

I just love to go and browse around the various shopping malls and sometimes if I’m lucky I may see something that I fancy.  I may even treat myself if I find a special item and if the price is right I will not deny myself.  It makes sense that I should purchase something which appeals to me; it could be something simple: perhaps a pencil or a pen.  It could be just a book; a scarf for my head; a shawl; a pair of slippers, a potted plant, or a bouquet of flowers to brighten up my lounge!

I also keep in mind that at any moment I could find that extraordinary gift which I really have to buy; something on my shopping list for which I’ve been searching for quite some time.

I just love to go out browsing around those shopping malls!  And when I’m feeling peckish and need a pick me up, I then stroll into a Food Hall and give myself a treat.  And if I’m very hungry I will pull out all the stops and eat as much as I like… I love that!!  However, if I’m really tired and need to take a break, I just head for home sweet home, switch off and forget the excitement of browsing around the shopping mall.

Happy Browsing folks…!
