The knock-on effect of colour…

18 May 2022

Dear LPG,

I wrote this message just before last Christmas but I have just found the courage to send it in so I ask that readers take that into account when reading the thoughts that were going through my head at that time…

Most of us either know how to get to our friend’s homes when we visit or we know their postal addresses if we are more likely to write, we rarely know both.

When I think of the friends that I have not visited for a while, a picture of their home comes to mind first and I suppose the most obvious thing about what I see in my mind’s eye is the colour and style of their front door.  But did you know that, according to the internet, that particular colour can say a lot about the welcome you are likely to get when you knock.

Apart from some interesting information about how the colour of your front door might impact on the value of your house,  I found some revealing information and thought it might be a good idea to share it for two reasons.  In case there are any readers out there planning to give their houses a facelift next year it may well be a good idea to factor in  what your door might say about you in your choice of colour, and when we are all finally allowed to visit our friends freely again, after reading what their front door is supposed to say about this aspect of their houses, we will all be able to make our minds up as to whether all the so called internet experts have got it right.
