Impersonating a cold-turkey might be the answer to some joint pain relief…

14 Jul 2021

Dear LPG,

You can learn some really odd things as you meander through the many web pages that the internet has to offer, and I hope what I learnt recently might have a positive effect on some of the readers of the LPG website.

My uncle lived well into his nineties, but he spent the last couple of years of his life in a fair amount of pain.  It will come as no surprise when I tell you that he complained about his aching back, and the length of time that he could walk got shorter and shorter as he got older.  It occurs to me that those aches and pains have a habit of starting a lot earlier, but they creep up on us so slowly that you don’t ever register those barely noticeable initial symptoms as we work through our busy lives.   I have to say that I am now aware that my joints are hinting at me a little these days.

This is why, when I found the information that I want to share I felt the need to let my fellow readers know.

Like so many, I have a supply of tin foil in my kitchen but I was really surprised when I came across quite a lot of information which shows that it might be worth using it to wrap more than the Christmas Turkey.

Apparently it can help in surprising ways, and being willing to try anything once, I plan to test out some of the suggestions I have found online.  There is a lot of evidence to suggest that if you wrap certain parts of your body with the silver stuff it might make a positive difference to joint pain, general tiredness and a few other complaints.

Having made this discovery, I would like to share it in the hope it helps a few other readers…

 MA, Deptford.

LPG will again mention the importance of checking with your GP before trying any new health related practice.

MA, offers the information she found to support her tin foil wrapping message…
