Carpe Diem

26 Jan 2019

Dear LPG,

I am sure that you are likely to get many other messages like this one at this time of year but I hope you will print what I have to offer.

I have penned what I hope will be a little bit of inspiration for those who find the Christmas and New Year Holidays a really depressing time.  I know that it will work well on your poetry page but I would ask LPG to feature it as news one day in the early New Year in a bid to inspire those who never get past the news page of your site…

God bless you with smiles

God bless you with laughter

God bless you with sunshine

God bless you with mercy

God bless you with kindness

God bless you with peace

God bless you with love

Many woke up today and could not hear

Many woke up today and could not see

Many woke up today and could not move

Let us count our blessings

And name them one by one

As the chorus goes, ‘and it will surprise you what the Lord has done.’

In my experience so many older people feel that they have little to live for; please don’t be one of them.  Keep positive.
