Do you have it on your hands, or is it flying by?

15 Dec 2018

Dear LPG,

While I agree that we have a little more of it when we get older there are a couple of questions that I found myself discussing with some of my friends the other day on the subject of time.

Firstly, once retired you are supposed to have more of it at your disposal but as a group the four of us that got into this conversation agreed that we have found all sorts of other things to do with it and most of them surrounded our family and friends.  Grandchildren need collecting from school for those who have ones that live close enough and lots of time is spent on the phone to those who have moved further away, although we also tend to spend a lot of time trying to make sure that we are not disturbing them or getting on their nerves.

Just keeping the home tidy takes a lot more time and, the worst part is that once you have done all that tidying up, you can never find what you are looking for and we all agreed that the looking takes its toll with the expenditure of a lot of frustration and heartache sometimes.

After that chat I decided to ask a question or two to google on the subject and can think of nothing better than to spend a little of my time sharing my findings with my fellow readers.  I think that the mathematical answer was perhaps the most interesting answer that I found.  I hope that LPG will leave the information with you.

EW, Downham

EW left us some information to share with LPG readers and we found some other interesting perceptions of this subject which we hope you will have the time to take a look at.
