Are you still flying through life with emotional baggage?

22 Oct 2018

Dear LPG

Although we have all heard of, and know of emotional baggage, there are so many kinds that it is really hard to put a finger on what the term actually means.

I defy anyone who has reached their sixth decade to say that they don’t have some and that it is not having some effect on their lives.  I am talking about all the things that we have done or had done to us, all the things we regret doing or wish we had done before it was too late and anything else that bothers us emotionally.

Many of us just feel negative without knowing that it can have something to do with a past experience and few of us really manage to unload.

While I was browsing the internet recently I found some interesting ideas about how to stop it having such a negative effect on your life and in interesting set of questions that, if you answer then, will help you to work out how much emotional baggage affects you.

LPG has found the quiz that JH is referring to and some advice on ways to unload and move on.  We would like to mention that such online quizzes need to be taken with a pinch of salt, but reading and answering the questions may help you to realise a problem in yourself or someone else.  Anyone feeling that the quiz has left them with too high a score should talk at least, to one person about any anxieties they may have.
