Chronological or Biological?

15 Jul 2018

Dear LPG

In March this year I watched a television program about some celebrities and if they could do anything to improve their biological body age.  The programme was called ‘100 Years Younger in 21 Days’ and I recognised some of the celebrities.  They were put through a series of physical tests, what can only be described as beauty therapies, and some mental trials in the pursuit of getting fitter.

The thing that intrigued me was that the object of the exercise did not appear to be trying to make them look younger, as there were continued references to their ‘biological body ages’ as well as their ‘chronological ages’.  I found myself trying to work out how the experts that were part of the process were able to assess that.

I have no doubt that there are places where one can take a costly test and be told exactly how they are doing but in the mean time I found a few online tests which I tried and I am happy to say that, according to my results, I am a little younger biologically than I am in reality.

I am hoping that LPG will be able to add some links so that other readers can have a go.

LPG has found, and provided a link for, the first episode of the programme in question and we have also found  some online biological body age quizzes that readers might like to try, and some other information.  Having had a go ourselves we noted that when honestly trying to answer some of the questions, consciences were jogged because they reminded us of where we may be letting some of our life habits slip with the result that some life improving promises have be made.  If only for that reason we suggest that you have a go, although the results of at least two will give a slightly more accurate result, which we ask that you treat with the level of seriousness that they deserve…
