Dear LPG,

My children deal with my bills these days but in February this year I was unhappy with my phone service and we changed it to another provider.

Three months later the phone went wrong again and I am glad that it happened because I had forgotten about the change.  I made this call with a different son and we phoned the first company I was with.  They reminded me about the change of subscriber and we phoned and got the fault sorted.  But the call I mistakenly made to the first provider taught me something else; this was when I realised  that I was paying both the company I had left and the new one, so it goes to show that even telephone companies make mistakes although the phone is now working again and I have been paid back.

Direct debits make it so easy for you to miss things.
