A subject with an interesting and wide spectrum?

03 Feb 2018

It is almost a certainty that if we were to ask any LPG reader this very basic question, at our time of life, we would be able to give our answer without any hesitation.

But according to much research that has been done on the subject, your very simple answer can say quite a lot about who you are and your outlook on life… Oh, the question in question is, “What is your favourite colour?”

I was Googling around the internet recently and found loads of information about what each individual’s answer will reveal about their personality.

According to the internet if you are not sleeping well it could have a lot to do with the colour of your bedroom?  The information we found shows that if you are having trouble sleeping a purple bedroom could be one of the problems (►►►).  And until we had a look it never occurred to LPG that so much research has been done to pinpoint the best colours to surround yourself with when you are eating.  There is serious scientific research suggesting that eating off a red plate is the most helpful practise for slimmers in their quest to eat a little less (►►►), while a red dining room is good for dinner parties (►►►).  The state of your health could be affected too (►►►).  And here is the most interesting bit of information we found on the subject… did you know that there is a real science behind why advertisers use the colours they do when trying to gain our interest or get us to buy (►►►).

While googling, LPG did learn one underlying fact; there is a lot of research on colour.  A lot of that research stems from the USA, and there are some slight discrepancies in the findings; perhaps in the same way as their spelling of the word that itself differs a little from ours.

Our quick look at this subject has thrown up some interesting facts and LPG would like you to know that we have no idea why we originally went for blue when choosing our logo.
