LPG telephoned the CCG

28 Nov 2017

LPG telephoned the CCG (Clinical Commissioning Group) and asked about the future of the Waldron walk-in Health centre and The GP Extended Access Service.  They gave us the following statement.

NHS Lewisham Clinical Commissioning Group is consulting on the future of the NHS New Cross Walk-in Centre and improving provision and access to primary care. The consultation ends on 30 October 2017. The CCG will review, consider and publish all responses to the consultation. The Governing Body will make a decision in November 2017.

“We are sorry to hear about this patient’s experience. All GP practices in Lewisham have been contacted this month and should be offering patients this choice. The GP Extended Access Service is designed to provide additional appointments for patients, when their own surgery is unable to see them.

“If your practice is closed and you need a GP you can contact the out-of-hours service SELDOC on 020 8693 9066 or NHS 111. They will also be able to book an appointment with the GP Extended Access Service.”

For further information or how to book an appointment online please visit the One Health Lewisham Website    (►►►) or ask at your GP practice.
