It is worth checking your junk.

06 Feb 2018

Dear LPG,

I have a story to tell which may have an obvious moral for all those computer literates who have surfed for years, but might just bring some enlightenment to the slower ones like me.

I am quite new to the internet, I only got started with computers after I retired, but I have now mastered receiving and sending emails to a reasonable standard.

Within my circle of friends I am not the only person to be able to make this claim, and we have been swapping email addresses so that we can send each other’s messages.   It is quite fun to get the odd message from a friend even though we often get to see each other before we get the message.

One of my friends sent me an email which I could not find for some reason.  We had checked that she had my email address right.  (I have learned that computers only need one thing to be wrong in the address of an email you are sending for the message never to arrive), but, for all our checks this particular email failed to arrive.   I eventually found the email in my junk mail box quite by accident.  So I have concluded that it is worth taking a look there from time to time, just to make sure that your emails have not gone astray.
